Lina de Andrada

(1895-1981)

A partly elusive figure, Lina de Andrada contributed to decorative renewal in the 1920s–30s. Wife of architect José de Andrada, she designed patterns, exhibited at Palais Galliera and the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs, and collaborated with André Groult from around 1920. Her work, held in Chicago and Paris, reflects a structured and elegant sensibility.
