This landscape motif combines trellised greenery, birds, and roses in a composition evocative of 18th-century garden design. Inspired by the French formal garden, it expresses an ideal of nature that is ordered and controlled. In interiors, such décor offered the vision of an idealized garden—an elegant and soothing refuge.
