GRAND DAMAS

This motif belongs to the tradition of damask and velvet imitations in wallpaper, highly appreciated since the 18th century. Sinuous flowering stems and curling ribbons form an elegant Louis XV-inspired décor. A similar model, dated 1770, is preserved at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
